Ram Automation designs and builds custom automation machines, UL 508A control panels, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 1, 2 & 3 wire harnesses in Brea, California. Our engineers work with your team from requirements review and design approval through build, Factory Acceptance Testing, and on-site commissioning.

Design capabilities include 3D mechanical design, AutoCAD Electrical schematics, SCCR and heat rise calculations, and PLC/HMI programming on Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Beckhoff, including motion and process control over EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET. Safety interlocks and guarding are designed in from the start.

Recent work includes in-machine X-ray inspection with verified radiation containment, closed-loop tension control for laser ablation on 50 AWG wire, and recipe-driven torque calibration for orthopedic assemblies. In house, we fabricate enclosures on our Hoffman ModCenter, machine parts on 3/4/5-axis CNC mills and mill-turns, and apply the UL 508A label.

Certified operators, trained by our in-house IPC trainers, build and inspect every harness. We also build control, power/battery test, and signal racks, and we design, assemble, program, and commission retrofits that replace obsolete controls.
