G6K Series Surface-Mount Relays

The Omron G6K is a surface mounting signal relay with one of the world's smallest mounting areas. This subminiature model is as small as 10 mm x 6.5 mm x 5.2 mm (L x W x H) which improves mounting efficiency. The light weight of 0.7 g contributes to high-speed mounting. The G6K is a DPDT-type relay and has a latching option. In situations where the relay is continuously ON for long periods without switching, it can lead to unstable contacts because the heat generated by the coil itself will affect the insulation. This can cause a film to develop on the contact surfaces. A latching magnetic holding relay is recommended for use in this kind of circuit. The terminals come in a variety of shapes, such as PCB, inside-L, and outside-L terminals. It's unique terminal structure with high infrared irradiation efficiency allows terminal temperature to rise easily when mounting the IRS, ensuring excellent soldering. It has a dielectric strength of 1,500 V_AC, and the -Y model offers an impulse withstand voltage of 2,500 V for 2x 10 µs by optimizing the distance between the coil and contacts.
