Infineon's EiceDRIVER™ 1EDI304xAS series gate drivers deliver high-efficiency, ASIL-D safe driving for IGBT and SiC switches in EV traction inverters. The Infineon EiceDRIVER™ 1EDI304xAS series gate driver is engineered for high-voltage EV traction inverters and power conversion systems. It drives both IGBT and SiC switches with smart slew rate control, dynamic boost mode, and up to 35% inverter loss reduction over the WLTP drive cycle. The 1EDI3040AS integrates a closed-loop flyback controller, reducing total BOM cost. Built for ISO 26262 ASIL-D functional safety, it includes fast DESAT and overcurrent protection, active Miller clamping, and safe-state functionality. A 6-channel isolated ADC and advanced diagnostics provide engineers with end-to-end visibility into power-stage health. The EiceDRIVER™ 1EDI304xAS series is suitable for xEV traction inverters including BEV, REEV, and PHEV. Other applications include high-voltage eFuses, high-voltage battery disconnect, and DC-DC converters. Evaluation boards are available for rapid prototyping and design validation.
