Which TVS is selected may hide the risk of latch-up. From the clamp current voltage curve of the TVS, it can be judged whether it is latch-up TVS or latch-up-free TVS. The latch-up TVS clamping voltage on the left goes deep into the signal operation area, meaning that this TVS may have the risk of eating the signal. The latch-up-free TVS clamping voltage on the right does not violate the signal operation area, which means that this TVS can ensure the integrity of the signal. Therefore, latch-up-free TVS has a more reliable and secure TVS architecture.
